Wow, thats a great shot, colors, sky, silhouette. all looks nice. just the foreground tends to lead the eye to the right of the shot, away from the sun is what i find though.

Ahh the classic sunset picture. Personally, I think sunsets and silhouettes are overdone, and there is not much more that one can improve on. I think the same goes for this picture as well. Don't get me wrong, the quality is excellent, even postcard good. However, when I look at this, I feel like it's one of those "been there, done that" type of photos. I think pretty much everyone has seen a scene similar to this, and there is nothing really new or moving about this. The sky is amazing though, I will give you that. The colors from red/orange to blue look fantastic and I think you captured this perfectly. Sunsets are trite and bland to me though. My sunset bias aside, very superb shot here. Great work.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I've only just started to really get into photography so I guess starting off with some overdone concepts/photos is okay. Thanks for the comment. These are the type of comments I like getting, the ones with actual feedback or ways I could improve, not the ones which just say "beautiful". Although, those ones are better than none.

Well I try to help. Don't totally disavow sunsets, ever! If you want to shoot them, go for it! Shoot what you like to shoot. Like I said in the comment, there is nothing bad about them, just try not to overdo it, or you won't get much respect (if that's what you're after) from the artistic photographers as a whole. You should never shoot for reputation though, this is a total self-indulgent activity, just like most arts. In short, don't stop doing what you're doing.
